BIOSYSTEMATICA is a peer reviewed, biannual journal, publishing original and significant research findings on animal taxonomy, aspects on faunal diversity, ecology and zoogeography. Having prime dedication to animal taxonomy, the journal gives high priority to Taxonomic monographs, revisions and reviews, catalogues, new descriptions, new records, check-lists, identification guides and range extensions. Papers outside the stated policy will only be accepted at the discretion of the Editors/Editorial Board.

There is no restriction on the length of manuscript. A full issue may be granted for taxonomic monographs/reviews or identification/field-guides of a taxon, numbering more than 60 pages. The first author will receive a print copy of the journal. No gratis reprints (print) will be supplied. Authors can download unlimited number of reprints as portable document format (pdf) files, from http://www.tcntrust.org/journal.php. Authors are requested to follow the journal style and layout as closely as possible, when preparing a paper for publication, as per the detailed guidelines set out under instructions to authors.

Online Subscription Information

Full accession is possible with the password protection, which will be valid for the whole year or for two subsequent issues. In case the authors can pay additional fee (depending on the size of the paper) open access will be permitted for the respective papers. The subscription to the electronic version of Biosystematica is free to all the members of the International Research Council of Prof. T.C. Narendran Trust for Animal Taxonomy.
